DC day 2

Daddy went to work today so we decided we needed to spend some time at the playground. Sawyer was all for it.

This is a great playground and I had to drag Colby away when it was finally time to leave.

Everybody loves to swing!

Colby called this the big cheese.

But this was, by far, the best part of the day. Watching the heavy equipment.

"Oooooooh, big truck!"
"Beep. Beep. Beep."

Colby had been asking for tacos for days. So tacos for lunch it was.

He didn't have any tacos, but he enjoyed lunch time as well.

He just ate his tube. Nom.

Oh, hey, it's our anniversary. Fine dining it is!

Everyone should ignore the fact that I had tacos for lunch and went to Chili's for dinner.

He was really, really trying to get that beer.

And I'll spare you the details of Colby puking all over the place after dinner. I don't think we'll be going to that Chili's again anytime soon.

DC day 1

We are in lodging at Ft. Belvoir just south of DC. It is an absolutely beautiful Army post. The apartment is a moist, smelly, shit hole. What a wonderful way to start our new life.

At least Mr. Soybeans McGee doesn't mind the gross couch.

He's even dancing.

Colby took a little longer to warm up to the place.

Then he realized he was a ridiculously happy boy. Hopefully we will do something interesting tomorrow.

On the road...again.

Day two of driving. Honestly, nothing exciting happened. Unless you consider powdered donuts exciting. If you do, then soak this in!

This was the rest stop when we crossed into Virginia. It was quite nice actually, and Colby got out and ran around. Yes, there is a Colby in that picture.

Just hanging out, leaning on the fence, no big deal.

I can't wait to be done with driving. Tomorrow will be more interesting.

On the road.

Well, we're moving to Washington DC. Yay. Can you sense the excitement? No? Didn't think so.

Well, not much really happened except a ridiculous amount of driving. And lunch.

Then Sawyer took a turn at the wheel.

Then there was some napping.

And some not napping.

And I have absolutely no idea how long that rattle was on his arm.

Luckily, Colby woke up in time to go to sleep in the motel. More excitement to follow tomorrow.

Recap of the past year.

 Colby turned one.

And grew a wicked mullet.

Which resulted in his first real haircut.

He then learned to walk.

And decided to become a pirate.

He got lots of stuff for Christmas, including an awesome Tow Mater Powerwheels.

And then hid from it for the next six months.

Oh yeah, another little muppet was on his way.

Make that a huge muppet!

Sawyer William Shubert Gray entered this world on March 23, 2012 at 9:35AM weighing a whopping 10 pounds 11 ounces and 22 inches long.

He was pretty cute.

And Colby liked him too.

But Sawyer was having a rough time of it.

He spent some time in the hospital.

Where they fixed him right up.

 And now he's doing great.

Then Colby had another birthday.

Everybody current now?
