Don't you hate it when you get stuck under a chair?

He crawled under there, got stuck and started screaming. So of course before I rescued him I grabbed the camera. He's definitely mobile now.

We took a little trip to The Domes botanical gardens today. I think the boys were bored but Mama loved it.

Colby did, however, enjoy that strap.

Dave presents: Tropical Rainforest.

Colby couldn't take his eyes off of the waterfall. He was transfixed.

And with even greater enthusiasm than the rainforest, Dave presents: Desert.

The enthusiasm is contagious.

Dave discovered the ever-elusive garden variety desert water snake. That in itself made the trip worth it.

Over the river and through the woods...

...to Nana's house we go. OK, I'm sure we crossed a river at some point but while driving the length of Illinois we definitely didn't go through any woods. Whatever. Going to Milwaukee.

I had to be a contortionist to lean back and get these shots, but it was worth it just to see all those teeth.

He was OK for the long car ride...as long as he could pull off his socks.

Many, many cornfields and silos later, we reached Wisconsin. Yay for recreation, industry, and agriculture. If only it wasn't 40 degrees and windy and rainy. Oh, Spring, how I miss you already.

So, yeah, I think this summer outfit might be a bit snug. That or he needs to lay off the cookies.

 Why yes, that is carrot on his eyelashes. And eyebrow. And, well, all over.

"Do you like my goatee?"

If he's this messy when I feed him I'm in trouble when he starts doing it himself.

Colby loves to motion of the swing. I'm training him early to be my amusement park buddy.
