Day 155

Getting ready to go see the Dr. for his 6 month check-up and shots.

Back home from the Dr. and doing OK.

Peas for lunch.  I don't think they agreed with him.

Feeling better.

Since lunch didn't stay down, we tried some banana a little later. He was fine with that.

Despite the little smile, he was starting to get crabby. Stupid immunizations.

He finally fell asleep on the couch next to me.

"My leg hurts where they poked me, Daddy. Night night."

Day 154

All warm and snuggly for going out this morning in the cold.

Back home and still in a good mood.

He really did.

He was really happy anticipating supper.

And even happier playing in it.

And when the cup was empty he grabbed it to try to take a drink.

The shirt had to go.

He went to bed a happy boy. Little does he know he's got a doctor's appointment in the morning.

"I like applesauce. Goodnight, Daddy."

Day 153

SUPERBOWL XLV

"So we're going to Grandma & Grandpa's for the Superbowl? I'm confused...it's a really big bowl? All my bowls are small..."
"I don't know about this. All of this pre-game stuff is pretty boring."
"Aaaaah, that's much better. The Puppy Bowl ROCKS!"
"OK, I'll be honest. Now that the game's started, I'm still kinda bored."
"What are these fluffy things? I like 'em. They tickle my toes."
"OK, Rodgers, seriously, just throw the ball. THROW THE DAMN BALL!"
"Oh. Oh. Oh. Jennings is open. C'mooooooon Jennings."
"TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!"
"OK, that was totally awesome."
"The Packers are so gonna win this game."
"YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WE WON WE WON WE WON WE WON!!!
"Wow. I guess we're home now. I must've slept in the car. Was I dreaming? Did we actually win?"
"Oh, I'm so tired. I've gotta get some sleep."
"AAAAAAAGHHHHH! I can't sleep! The Packers WON THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!! I'm totally not going to bed for at least 10 minutes, Daddy!!!!

Day 152

Colby has just about mastered sitting up. He still can't sit up on his own (that would require him to actually do something whilst laying down on the floor) but he played on the floor for at least an hour today. The boppy pillow is not helping him sit, it's just there for insurance to keep him from cracking his skull on the floor.

He really likes his music station. And oh my goodness, it's annoying.

Notice in the previous pictures how empty his lap is. I left him like this and went into the kitchen for a few minutes. When I came back, he had a lap full of toys. He just leaned over and grabbed everything within his reach. With the exception of the big ball. I did give him that because it was behind him.

There was a landslide and all his toys fell to the side. Don't worry, he just leaned over and scooped them up again.

We just got back from trivia and he was sporting his new camo hat Grandma got him. Such a little redneck.

Oh, so happy to get unbundled.

Crazy hair! He's a head-sweater.

It didn't take him long to crash once he got settled.

Snuggled up with his blankie.

"They lost again at trivia, Daddy. I think they need you back. Goodnight!"
