Day 175

Who says it's a good morning?!

He loves the rattle his Nana bought him. He's so intrigued; he just watches the beads roll around.

Mr. Crankypants didn't want to eat.

He said he was tired.

Fine, we're done.

"Get that @$%#%@# camera out of my face!!!"

The bad mood continued on.

All I can say is thank goodness for bedtime.

"I was sleepy. Gimme a break. Goodnight, Daddy."

Day 174

Let the baby-proofing begin. I don't even know how he reached this trash can, but obviously I'm getting rid of the plastic bag in it. Did he not read the box? It clearly states that he, as a baby, is supposed to keep away from it. A garbage bag is NOT a toy, Colby.

I don't think he was happy I snatched him up from the jumper after the trash can incident.

I love the defiance in his eyes. Oh, Colby, you will nap. After all, you can't resist the sweet seduction of the swing with it's rhythmic lullaby. I will win this battle.

And here he is about a half an hour later. Playing on the floor. No nap was necessary as it turns out.

So here he is on my lap (in the recliner). He flipped over and crawled down to my feet. And fell asleep.

Weirdo.

"Um, Daddy, can you please telly Mama to get a pedicure. It's pretty gross down here. So I'm just gonna go to sleep 'cause I can't stand it anymore. Night night."

Day 173

He got a new big boy car seat! I was trying it out and figuring out how to work it when he decided he wanted to take it for a test drive.

I'm pretty sure this is not how he's supposed to sit in it.

Photobomb by Steele.

He has a weird reflection from a mirror...or a ghost flying out of his mouth.

Back from a trip to Grandma & Grandpa's and a night playing trivia. And guess what?

We won 1st place! Yay!

"I LOVE to win! I'm too wired to sleep, Daddy, but I'll try. Goodnight!"

Day 172

Are you enjoying your breakfast? Colby is enjoying his.

He's swimming now.

I got out his Winnie the Pooh rocker today for the first time. He was too small at Christmas to use it, but today he sat up rather well. He has no idea what he's supposed to do with it, but he'll figure it out.

I'm not sure what he enjoys more, yelling or jumping.

He was in his jammies and ready for bed. Until he basically threw himself onto the floor so he could play with his toys. I guess he needed a little jam session to unwind for the night.

"I can't decide between playing the piano or guitar. Mama said it didn't matter but absolutely no drums. I can't figure out why. Oh well, goodnight, Daddy."

Day 171

Isn't he a little young for screaming at the television? I think he gets that from Grandpa. Damn you, Glenn Beck!

Just kidding. He was telling Donald Duck to shut the hell up. He's so annoying.

He's spending less time on my lap and more time on the floor. And liking it!

He rolled over both directions today several times. It's about time, baby.

He fought this nap for about an hour. In fact, I had to sit the seat up from the reclined position because he was holding himself upright. So finally, after 2 episodes of SpongeBob (so I could get some work done), he decided he'd had enough.

Back on the floor again. He's really into his toys now.

Poor baby was so sleepy after an evening of running around. Hope he sleeps well tonight.

"Just completely exhausted. I'm out. G'night, Daddy."
