Day 55

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Today was not only Halloween, it was Colby's 3 month-iversary. He was very happy to be visiting Grandma & Grandpa.

 Wearing his Halloween duds.

He's showing how big he is by sitting in the jumper. He didn't exactly love it, but I think it will grow on him.

We decided to go to Marissa for the day and I brought some of the cupcakes I made. Frankenstein Vampires and Mummy Sikhs.

Colby did not really appreciate his costume.

And he wasn't afraid to voice his displeasure.

Giraffe butt.

Tanya and her girls stopped by and even they couldn't make him happy.

He was a little better after his costume change. Then he literally grabbed the trident from Kaitlyn's hand. It somehow fit his mood.

I'm not sure these red eyes are just a product of the camera flash.

As soon as we got home, he crashed.

"Oh, too many Snickers. I'm done. Goodnight, Daddy."

Day 54

We baked Halloween cupcakes today. And I do mean we...he was right there beside me in the kitchen supervising.

"Yummmm. Cupckakes. I can't wait to taste one."
Yes, there's a hole in the blanket. And his fingers found it.

What the hell?

I love dimples.

I caught him at a serious moment.

He almost has a normal belly button now.

He's camped out on my lap again before bed. And he just spit up what looked to be most of his Zantac. It may not be a good night's sleep tonight.

"I didn't want the medicine. I don't see the problem. Goodnight, Dad."

Day 53

We had Colby's 3 month pictures taken today and I timed it perfectly. He already had a nap and lunch so when we got there he was wide awake and in a great mood. He was smiling and cooing and giggling and ready for the camera. Of course, it couldn't be that simple. We had to wait an hour after our scheduled time. By then he was crabby and crying and fell asleep about 10 minutes into the session. He was totally acting like a big baby. Hmmmph.

By the time we got home, he was in a better mood.

Why the sad face, Colby?

He said it was because his pants are too short.

It's really a shame. This is the first time he wore this. It's very roomy on top and ridiculously short in the legs. You know, there are babies all over the world suffering because they have ugly clothes. And here he is with a closet full of adorable outfits that are too short. I blame his daddy.

The next boy really needs to be born in the winter so the other half of his wardrobe can be worn.

Mr. Ornery decided he didn't want to take his medicine and only wanted to chew on it instead.

Laid back and napping on me.

All ready for bed!

He's chatting up a storm but his sleepy eyes are telling another story.

"Gotta get my beauty rest, Daddy. Goodnight."

Day 52

Good morning everyone! Someone is awake!!!

And the happy boy mid-morning. He was in a pretty good mood.

All snuggly on my lap this afternoon. And he's holding his blankie.

Blue eyes and spit bubbles.

We had to run out to the chiropractor and it was only 49 degrees. Brrrrr. Time to bundle up in the monkey hat!

He wouldn't give me a smile. But that's OK, he's adorable anyway.

Colby was still bright-eyed this evening. I have no idea what he's looking at.

And here his is getting ready to go to bed. He looks like he's up to something...I just have to figure out what it is.

"I'm innocent! No plotting on my part. I'm too sleepy. Goodnight, Daddy."

Day 51

Well, I know today's post probably looks a little boring. I realize that all of the pictures look similar, but that's actually a reason to rejoice! He wore the same outfit the entire day!!! Do you realize how much of an achievement it is to not annihilate his clothing with spit-up? The answer is IT'S A BIG DEAL!

Showing off the dimples.

He took a nap, albeit a short one, on the floor. That's one step closer to tolerating the crib. Woohoo!

He was waking up, so I decided to grab the video camera. Why is it every time I film him he feels the need to poop?

A little bit of talking to me.

Aww, he seems sad that I put away the camera.

Just kidding.

He's got his PJs on and is talking my ear off. I think he's telling me a bedtime story.

"Ugh. I have to tell her this same story over and over again every night. Does she ever get tired of it? G'night, Daddy."
